York Story Slam is a monthly gathering where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a TRUE, first-person story based on that month's theme.

Our first Story Slam of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21. The theme is Tipping Point.

We’ll be in a new location this year - new to us, and new to the community. The Hangar at New York Wire Works is a new event space that will open in January, and we’ll be among the first gatherings to take place there. There is plenty of on-site parking, and the event space is just inside the main entrance. Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from The Wired Chef during our events, and we’ll have announcements soon about beer, as well, for those who prefer a little liquid courage before putting their name into the hat.

Those who wish to share a story will sign up upon arrival that evening.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and stories begin at 7 pm.
